Pascal Chimbonda

Fullback Pascal Chimbonda is being linked with a MOVE TO THE SCUM.

Chimbonda is apparently keen on making the £9million switch due to the French contingent at the Gunners.

I WOULD USUALLY TELL ANYONE WHO SUGGESTED THAT ANYONE OF OUR PLAYERS LIKED ARSENAL (BESIDES SOL JUDAS) THAT THEY CAN GET STUFFED BUT THIS COULD BE TRUE.

IF THIS IS TRUE WE SHOULD DROP THE TRAITOR AND SHIP HIM OUT

SCUMMMMM

Pascal Chimbonda is still confident we will finish in the top six. I agree with him. If we can sort out away form soon we will be up there.

“Even though we are struggling away, we can still finish in the top-six,” said Chimbonda.

“We have a lot of games left in the season.”

Lads lets just forget that terrible terrible fixture against the SCUM last weekend and push on…

Reports suggest we are looking to land long term target Curtis Davies in January.

Marty Jol has previously admitted his admiration for the West Brom man and Baggies manager Tony Mowbray has recently said: ”We are trying to put the building blocks in place for the long-term success.

“If we are going to lose a star player then while it is difficult, if the team benefits longer term, that is what is important.”

Who knows?? I think we are right at the back, but he is another talented young lad to join the rest.

Full-back Pascal Chimbonda thinks his move to Spurs from Wigan has helped him ‘step up’ a level.

“Moving to Tottenham helped me step up a level from Wigan, where I was struggling to win any international recognition,” said Chimbonda.

“It has always been a special dream of mine to play for France, but I wasn’t in the public eye enough when I was there.

“Wigan are not one of the bigger sides so as soon as I had the chance to move to Tottenham I jumped at it.”

He added: “I’m happy the way things have gone for me. I’ve been adopted by the fans straight away.

“Right from the first training session they started singing the song that the Wigan fans made up for me last season - that was a great start and things have just got better.

“The next aim for me is to help Tottenham win something and become a regular in the France squad.”

Pascal Chimbonda has revealed that he watches Mike Tyson videos to gain inspiration.

He said: “I love boxing.

“My favourite era was when Mike Tyson was in his prime.

“When I was growinga up in Guadeloupe, I used to get up at 4am to watch him on TV, and his bouts only lasted a minute.

“Present-day fighters are not such a pleasure to watch. But I’d love to meet guys like Tyson and Muhammad Ali.

“I’m a big fan of basketball’s Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson as well.

“Playing in England is ideal for me, with the fighting spirit in the game.

“I have been left out of the France team recently, in favour of Lyon defender Francois Clerc, and that is disappointing.

“But I am playing European football as well as him, with Spurs in the UEFA Cup.

“And the Premiership is of a higher standard.

“I am so eager to do well, I finish some matches burnt out.”

Damien Comolli has admitted his suprise with how quickly Pascal Chimbonda has settled in at the club.

“At Spurs, the first thing we appreciated was the high level he achieved at Wigan last season,” said Comolli.

“We pushed like mad to try and sign him this summer, because he showed extraordinary motivation to join us too.

“Since he joined us, Pascal has continued to surprise me.

“He is much more thorough than his casual image shows, both on tactical and defensive levels he shows that.

“He has a very good header and he is a strong athlete - he can still attack in the 92nd or 93rd minute.

“There is no doubt about his ability.”

Pascal Chimbonda has finally joined Tottenham from Wigan Athletic.

Martin Jol has been chasing the France international all summer and will be pleased to have completed the signing.

Spurs are reportedly ready to give up the chase for French full-back Pascal Chimbonda after it became clear that Wigan manager Paul Jewell would not negotiate his £6million asking price

Jewell said: “There has got to be a club willing to buy anybody before there is a possible departure.

“Until Tottenham comes up, or any club comes up, with what we want for a possible departure, he will remain at our football club because he is paid by Wigan and plays for us.”

Tottenham have had their player plus cash offer for France international Pascal Chimbonda rejected by Wigan today.

Wigan boss Paul Jewell revealed: “Pascal has come back and his agent was in my office when I spoke with Spurs and said we wanted the full £6 million for Chimbonda, ”

“Spurs offered a couple of players. We could not reach a deal and if we do not get the full amount the player stays where he is.

“We still think it is a very fair valuation.

“Don’t forget not many clubs were keen to take a chance on him this time last year.”

Tottenham Hotspur director Daniel Levy is apparently preparing to make a move for Wigan full-back Pascal Chimbonda.

The deal, which is believed to include a cash amount, plus both Danny Murphy and Ireland international Andy Reid, could see Lactics manager Paul Jewell finally accept a bid for the French international.

Spurs have already had a £3.5million offer rejected by Wigan earlier this summer.
